Bridge Illumination…

The 100 year plus Market Street Bridge is a historic landmark spanning the Ohio River, located on the banks of Steubenville, Ohio and Follansbee, West Virginia. It went through a complete structural and visual renovation, and was accentuated with all new lighting. The public was involved in the bridge color selection through an online poll on the WVDOT website. The winning colors were Mountaineer Blue and Gold, representing West Virginia state colors.

Paramount is proud to have been part of the renovation process, with the assistance of our Ohio representative Lighting Systems of Columbus and the architectural firm of Burgess and Niple in Columbus, Ohio. The Market Street Bridge features our weather resistant, durable stainless steel J9 Series luminaire to safely illuminate the pedestrian walkway. The J9 Series went through extensive water testing to receive a UL Commercial Cooking Hood label, performance characteristics similar to IP-67.
