POSITION SUMMARY

Leads & facilitates in the packing, shipment, and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Proactively collaborates and communicates with production, fabrication, procurement, engineering, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Strong sense of accountability and integrity towards the overall accurate accounting of all inventory

 Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Ensures & promptly verifies all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to order and ensuring all goods are in acceptable condition
  • Drive accurate packaging, labeling and weighing items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges for lowest total cost
  • Actively collaborates and initiates communications with internal teams, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
  • Prepare packing & accurately organizes labeling of finished goods for outbound shipping
  • Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse by properly boxing and storing goods in their designated location
  • Steers an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, cycle counting accurately, and proper use of KANBAN
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
  • Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
  • Provides additional backup support for other roles in the warehouse shipping and receiving departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  1. Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock
  2. Receiving, stocking, stacking, and cycle counting of inventory
  3. Experience with proper inventory utilization with KANBAN
  4. Pulling, packing, and loading, of outbound product
  5. Great written and verbal communication skills
  6. Strong sense of time organization and urgency and can handle multiple priorities
  7. Engaging Team Lead in a fast pace environment

Skills & Abilities 

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 5+ years logistics, retail, or customer service experience
  • Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many packages are large
  • Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing
  • Personal accountability and integrity are paramount, as a shipping clerk is tasked with an accurate accounting of all inventory
  • Experience with WMS systems & Shipping Systems preferred
  • Computer skills with MS Office/Excel/email
